A total of 56,806 passengers used public vehicles (interprovincial buses and vans) to return from the provinces to Bangkok on 3,364 trips on Monday, the state-run interprovincial bus operator Transport Company reported on Tuesday.

State-run public bus operator Bangkok Mass Transit Authority (BMTA) is procuring 3,390 electric vehicles (EV) to replace its ageing fleet that has been in service for more than three decades, Deputy Transport Minister Manaporn Charoensri said on Friday.
